--- Idea(s) ---

I saw an interesting photomanipulation of an eye, and I thought "Hey, why not change out the iris for a clock?" so, I have that a shot, and this was the result: a Time-Traveling old man with some strange eye condition. The background is certainly plain, but I believe that the manipulation all in all is fairly solid, and, if it's not too bold of me to say, somewhat realistic.

---- Semi-Technical Details ---

I used several engine stocks for the eye and iris, and cut out some pieces of the engine for the cables' bases. The cables themselves were created with the paths tool (b) in GIMP, along with the ever-useful gradient tool and bevel function, and of course gaussian blur set to black for the shadow underneath the cables. The eye glow was created by using a fractal set to screen (Thank you, MorbidSheep), and another set to dodge in the center, with some additional overlayed black and white brushes to bring a nice solid focus.
